Bajaur : remote Control bomb blast on former senator Hidayatullah Khan’s car ‘5 martyrs’.

“According to the Bajaur police bomb disposal squad, ( BDS) investigation, five to seven kgs  of explosives were used in the Wednesday IED blast, martyring  former Senator Hidyatullah Khan and his four companions.”

According to the Khar Hospital administration, former Senator Hidayatullah, Malik Irfan, Nazaruddin, Yar Muhammad and Samiur Rahman were martyred in the bomb blast.

The bodies of all the five martyrs have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Khar Bajaur. Former Senator Hidayatullah Khan was a member of the Senate from 2012 to 2024. 

He had been a member of the Senate twice as an independent from FATA. He was also a member of Necta and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Aviation.

Senator Hidayatullah Khan belonged to Navgai and was the younger brother of former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shaukatullah Khan and son of former MNA Haji Bismillah Khan.

While he was also the brother of Dr. Inayatullah Khan, a specialist at Pims Hospital Islamabad. Hidayatullah Khan went to Duma Dola in connection with the election campaign of his nephew independent candidate PK 22 Najibullah Khan.

 Najeebullah Khan is participating as an independent candidate in the by-election for PK-22 constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on July 11.

Hidayatullah Khan along with his colleagues was returning from Duma Dola to the headquarters after the election campaign when a remote control bomb exploded on his car on the way.
